Simona Mazzocchi

Simona Mazzocchi worked for more than twelve years in the aerospace and defence industry, first at Selex-Sistemi Integrati in the fields of wideband antennas array, air traffic control radar and countermeasures, and then at Development and Production of Electronic Systems (D&P), a R&D company which was a supplier of the most important aerospace and defence industries in Italy.
During the period in D&P, she developed her skills in the design of miniaturized sub-systems, integration of functional sections both at high speed digital and at high RF frequency.
Thanks to her active collaboration with the Electronic Department of “La Sapienza” University of Rome and Selex-Sistemi Integrati, in 2014 she received her Ph.D. in Electromagnetism.
In 2020 she left D&P to work as system engineer in the Electro-Optical and Infrared Department at ELETTRONICA SpA.
