Antonio Manna

Contributor

Antonio Manna was born in Aversa, Italy, in 1980. He received the degree and the Ph.D. in electronics engineering from the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli, Naples, Italy, in 2004 and 2008, respectively.

Since 2006, he has been a Microwave and Antenna Designer in HW Development Dept., Elettronica S.p.A., Rome, Italy, where he was involved in the design of UWB antennas and microwave components for EW systems.

In 2013, he became Focal Point of Antenna Dept and form 2015 to 2018 he was Responsible of Microwave&Antennas Dept. Currently he is the Principal HW Engineer in Research and Innovation Dept (R&I) in Elettronica S.p.A.. His research interests are mainly focused in the field of enabling HW technologies for the new generation EW systems (i.e. UWB antennas, RF SOC, UWB Direct Sampling Architecture, Microwave Photonics, UWB MW components).

High-Power Microwave (HPM)

HPM is a relatively new research area belonging to the High-Power Electro Magnetic (HPEM) class where lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP) and nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP) are included. The power radiated by the HPM sources are in the range from a few KWs to tens of GWs (pulsed) in the frequency range from tens of MHz […]
